Supporting Romanian community registering with a Dentist

This video was co-designed by the international women’s group at Riverside community health project in Benwell alongside the 0-19 Health Visiting and School Nursing service and Oral Health Promotion Community Dental Service in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.  We hope that this video could be used in a variety of settings both locally and nationally to support Romanian families to understand how to register with a dentist and what to expect when they go to the dentist.  We chose a video to make it more accessible to people and we have posted it on you tube, the Romanian Consulate website and it will also be placed on other sites which professionals and Romanian communities… Read More

Invitation to enter the Emma Raper Award

This is the first year that we will be presenting the Emma  Raper Award to the prize winner. As many of you will know the NOHPG wanted to remember Emma for her contribution to addressing good oral health for all. We would like to encourage you to share your work through a poster presentation which will be judged by the panel and awarded at the annual study day on the 14th June, in Bristol. NOHPG Supports the Eat well and move more Campaign

NOHPG are supporting the Change4life Campaign ‘Eat well and move more’ introduced by Public Health England This campaign will shine a light on snacks and snacking and look to encourage a reduction in the intake of sugary snacks – the idea is not o say no snacking but to reduce the number of unhealthy snacks  per day and in doing so addressing the the health harms of sugar-  child obesity and dental caries being two key health issues related to sugars.
